Deanna's World: Radical Change

Radical Change is described as a break from society's traditional way of looking at literature and its relation to young adults. Eliza T. Dresang, the author of Radical Change shows how printed books are changing in step with positive developments in the digital world, and how librarians, teachers, and parents can recognize and appreciate new books for youth.
Radical Change is a product of insight and intuition. It is clear that Dresang spent a lot of time and hard work to make this document as informative as possible. Not only did she approach many aspects of contemporary literature, but she also went a step further by mentioning the Internet's affect on youth. According to Dresang, this change from traditional literature includes characteristics that appeal strongly to savvy Net Generation readers. These characteristics include interactivity, connectivity, and the access of the digital world.
I dedicate this page to Eliza Dresang, a very special person who has had a profound impact on my life. Even though I had only known her for a few months before she published her book, she already stood out as one of the few people that I genuinely admired and continue to admire.
