Introduction:
This interview was conducted by Deanna, with Stan Bunger, senior reporter of KRON-TV's New Media News. I first met Stan when he interviewed me for his television show. New Media News is a show that focuses on neat things happening around the world, as well as the latest developments of technology and the Internet.

What is your job and do you enjoy what you do?
Senior Reporter, KRON-TV's "New Media News." I love it. I get to be in a front row seat for the Digital Revolution and the hours aren't too bad.

What does the Internet mean to you, personally?
It is a huge wealth of information available instantly. It has dramatically changed the way I work.

How do you think the Internet is affecting our youth and future?
I'm not sure yet. I hope it affords greater access to information. But I fear it may just be an easier way to avoid true interpersonal contact.

In your opinion, how has the Net changed the world, and our society in general?
It has certainly created a frenzy, and I'm not so sure that's a good thing. Clearly, there are pros and cons to our newfound ability to communicate and do business instantly. On the plus side, we get what we want instantly. On the minus side, we grow ever-more impatient.

What are two technology-related books that you recommend?
1.) "Coercion : Why We Listen to What 'They' Say" by Douglas Rushkoff. He picks apart our culture of coercion, and asks some very powerful questions about how we intend to let technology manage our future.
2.)"Being Digital" by Nicholas Negroponte. Say what you will about Negroponte and his cronies at MIT Media Lab, this book "gets it" in many ways.

Explain your Web site and its features.
The site is the online arm of New Media News, a weekly half-hour television program produced by KRON-TV. The site and the show are designed to mesh with each other, each offering elements appropriate to the medium. It's a work-in-progress, as new technology allows us to offer our audience more features each month.

Thank you, Stan.
Personal thanks goes out to Stan Bunger for participating in my survey. You're a very interesting and amusing person, it was nice working with you.
